The Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Board (CGSSB), Raipur has released the official notification for the Chhattisgarh State Eligibility Test (SET26). This is a state-level eligibility test for the candidates who aspire to be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor in different colleges of Chhattisgarh. Candidates who are interested and meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the application form easily through the official state portal https://cgssb.cgstate.gov.in.

The online application process for Chhattisgarh State Eligibility Test (SET26) will begin from 23 July 2026. The last date for submission of form is 17 August 2026 till 5:00 PM. Candidates who have passed or are appearing in the final year of Master’s Degree can apply. There is no age bar to this eligibility test. The candidates are eligible to apply for the regular Assistant Professor vacancies with excellent government pay scales, after qualifying in the top 6% of the merit list.

The selection procedure for Chhattisgarh State Eligibility Test (SET26) will be purely based on a written test consisting of two objective papers to be conducted on 04 October 2026. Application Fee Rs. 350/- for General category candidates, Rs. 250/- for OBC candidates Rs. 200/- for SC, ST and PwD candidates. A key feature of this drive is that the application fee will be completely refunded to all local residents of Chhattisgarh who actually appear for the examination.

•Candidates must possess a full-time regular Master's Degree (Post Graduation) or equivalent course in the concerned subject from a UGC recognized university.

•Candidates must have secured at least 55% aggregate marks (50% marks for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, PwD, and Transgender categories) in their qualifying postgraduate degree.

•Candidates who are studying in the final year of their Master's degree are also eligible to apply provisionally under this test cycle.
