Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the official notification for the recruitment of District Sports Officer (DSO) for 33 vacancies. Interested candidates can apply online starting from 02 September 2025 up to 26 September 2025. The selected candidates will receive a salary as per Level-6 in the Bihar Government pay scale.

Applicants must be graduates from a recognized university with a Diploma or PG Diploma in Sports Coaching from SAI, LNIPE Gwalior, a Central Sports University, or any UGC/Bihar-recognized sports university. In addition, candidates should have sports achievements such as representing India in Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Asian Games, representing the state at the national level, or multiple participations in recognized university, youth, inter-services, police, or railway championships. The selection process will be based on a Written Examination followed by Interview.

Candidates must ensure they meet the age criteria of 21 to 37 years as on 01 August 2025, with age relaxation provided for OBC (3 years) and SC/ST (5 years).
