CSIR Junior Research Fellowship ( JRF)
A certain number of JRFs are awarded each year by Institute to those holding MSc or equivalent degree, with minimum 55% marks after qualifying the National Eligibility Test ( NET) conducted by CSIR twice in a year The candidates who have qualified National Eligibility Test (NET), conducted by CSIR t may approach Institute for JRF. The validity of NER is one year. The candidate is expected to register for Ph.D degree within a period of one year from the date of joining. The stipend of a JRF selected through the all India test will be Rs 8000/ p.m for a period of 2 years. In addition, annual contingent grant of Rs. 20,000/- per fellow will be provided..

CSIR’s GATE qualified Junior Research Fellowship for PhD for Engineering Graduates
CSIR has introduced a new research fellowship in 2002 for the GATE qualified candidates with BE/ BTech/ BArch/ BPharm degree to pursue research leading to PhD. This will be known as the GATE qualified Junior Research Fellowship (JRF-GATE). JRF’s selected under this scheme will have excellent opportunity to work with the CSIR scientists with state-of-art R&D facility and obtain PhD degree. Fresh BE/ B Tech degree holders with valid GATE score may apply .The candidates will have to pursue Ph.D. MTech candidates (either with BTech/ MTech or with MSc/ MTech) are not eligible for this fellowship. The fellowship is to be given to a candidate for a total duration of five years within which the candidate is required to complete the PhD degree. This fellowship amount is Rs 8000/- plus HRA per month. In addition, contingency grant of Rs 20,000/- per annum is available.

Research Associateship (RA)
A certain number of RA-ships may be awarded each year directly by CSIR to young research workers who have shown promise in original research and propose to pursue research work in science, engineering, medicine or technology on specific projects. The Associate will do full time research work on problems stated in his/her application and approved by CSIR. Under this scheme, persons possessing Doctorate (PhD/MD/MS/MDS) or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc/MPharm/ME/MTech will be eligible for award as RA.

Adequate experience in drafting of Deeds, Conveyancing and other security documents is essential.
Experience Requirement: Minimum of 21 Years post qualification experience in the executive cadre in the relevant area in a Government/ Public Sector Undertaking or a private company of repute, out of which 7 years’ experience in the scale of pay of Rs. 43200 - 66000 & above (IDA pay scale effective from 01.01.2007) or equivalent scale and above if employed in PSUs/ Govt. or in a senior responsible position as Head of Legal Dept./ Group/ Function with comparable pay and profile if employed in private sector. Experience of working in a Solicitor's/ Advocate firm of repute after qualifying the graduate Law degree and enrolment with the Bar Council would also be reckoned but the substantial part i.e. not less than 10 years, of the total 21 years of post-qualification experience should be in the executive cadre.

Experience : Candidates should have experience in installation, operation and trouble shooting of Server, PCs, peripheral devices, LAN Network, structured cabling (CAT 5/6 cable, FDDI), internet connection sharing / distribution, intranet management, data security software (centralized), mail server, router and switches (managed and unmanaged), data centre, virtualization etc.
Qualification : First class B Sc with Microsoft Certificate System Engineer and CISCO Certified Network Analyst.
