Applications are invited from Indian Nationals fulfilling the prescribed qualifications for appointment to the under mentioned post:

(i) Name of Post : Scientist-B - 13 Posts
Pay scale of PB-3:-Rs.15,600-39,100 with Grade Pay Rs.5,400/- p.m.

SFE (Forest Ecology) - 03
Essential Qualification
(i) First class M.Sc. degree in Forestry / Botany/Environmental Science from a recognized University with specialization in Forest Ecology/Ecology
OR
First class M.Sc. degree in Natural Science/ Life Sciences/ Environment Management from a recognized University with specialization in Forest Ecology/Ecology

2. SEM (Environment Management) - 02
Essential Qualification (i) First class M.Sc. degree in Environment Management/Environment Science from a recognized University with specialization in Environmental Economics

3. SCT (Chemistry) 01 (PH)
Essential Qualification (i) First class M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from a recognized University with specialization in Organic Chemistry. Desirable Qualification (ii) Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry.

4. SSTS(Statistics) 01
Essential Qualification (i) First class M.Sc. degree in Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognized University with specialization in Experimental Designs/ Sampling Techniques/ Statistical Modeling.
OR
First class M.Sc. (Agriculture) Statistics/ M.A. Statistics degree from a recognized University.

5. SIT(Information Technology) - 01
 Essential Qualification (i) First class B.E./ B. Tech. degree in Computer Science from a recognized University.
OR
First class in Master of Computer Applications or equivalent from a recognized University

6. SHYD (Hydrology) - 05
Essential Qualification (i) First class M.Sc. degree in Water Resources/Hydrology/Soil and Water Conservation Engineering/Geohydrology from a recognized University.
OR
First class B.E/B. Tech. degree in Agricultural Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ Environmental Engineering with specialization in Water Resources/ Hydrology/Soil and Water Conservation/ Geo-hydrology

Age Limit : 30 years (as on 15.09.2011).
Place of Posting: The persons selected against the posts in the above disciplines will be posted in any of the Institutes/Centres of the Council at Dehradun, Jabalpur, Jodhpur, Jorhat, Coimbatore, Bangalore, Shimla, Ranchi, Allahabad, Chhindwara, Hyderabad and Aizwal. All posts carry liability to serve anywhere in India.
