CARE will be leading a 5-year Family Health Initiative to catalyze dynamic processes for developing, testing and scaimg-up solutions to transform public health and nutrition services across Bihar. The project aims to
dramatically improve survival and hearth care for women, newborns and children, especially in rural areas The proposed project will be supported by the Bill & Mclinda Gates Foundation and will run in partnership with Columbia University. Emory University. Save the Children. Abt Associates and Janini.

1. Program Assistant
Essential:
 i. Graduate Degree Social Work / Administration / Social Science with over 3 years experience in the area of Public Health
Preferred:
 i. Demonstrated experience in a similar profile
ii. Demonstrated experience in a similar profile for a large International NGO

2. Head Quality Improvement & Monitoring & Evaluation
Essential:
  i. Masters Degree in Social Work / Public Health / Social Sciences / Statistics/ Management
  ii. Over 10 years of progressively responsible professional experience in Public Health program management, including at least 5 years experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.
 iii. Demonstrated experience in designing and executing large-program MIS and research studies in Public Health
  iv. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Public Health programs and policies in India
    v. Demonstrated expertise in strategic program planning and implementation
  vi. Demonstrated expertise in complex research designs
Preferred:
 i. Systems analysis experience
ii. Hands-on knowledge of applied statistics

3. Maternal Health Expert
Essential:
 i. MBBS with over 10 years of Public Health experience in the area of Maternal Health, including at least 5 years clinical training experience. Clinical skills must be current and up to date
   ii. Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in the management of maternal health programs at the state and national level
 iii. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of maternal health programs and policies in India
  iv. Demonstrated expertise in strategic program planning, implementation and technical assistance provision

Preferred:     
 i. Specialization in Obstetrics-gynecology
ii. Demonstrated expertise in undertaking research studies

4. Immunization Expert
Essential:
 i. MBBS with over 10 years of Public Health experience in the area of Child Health, including at least 5 years clinical training experience.
   ii. Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in the management of immunization / child health programs at the state and national level
 iii. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Immunization programs and policies in India
  iv. Demonstrated expertise in strategic program planning, implementation and technical sssistance provision

Preferred:
 i. Specialization in Pediatrics
ii. Demonstrated expertise in undertaking research studies

5. M&E Expert
Essential:
 i. Masters Degree in Social Work / Public Health / Health & Hospital Administration / Social Sciences / Statistics
   ii. Over 7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in Public Health program management, including at least 5 years experience in Monitoring and Evaluation.
 iii. Experience in MIS design
  iv. Expertise in SPSS / Stata / SAS / Epi Info
    v. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Public Health programs and policies in India
  vi. Demonstrated expertise in strategic program planning and implementation
vii. Demonstrated expertise in complex research designs

Preferred:
 i. Knowledge in advanced statistics
ii. Demonstrated expertise in Design and Development of National/International Level Monitoring and Evaluation systems

6. ICT Expert
Essential:
 i. Masters Degree in Information Technology or Computer Sciences
   ii. 5-7 years of progressively responsible professional experience in developing ICT solutions

Preferred:
   i.  Experience in a similar profile for a large International NGO

7. Technical Project Coordinator
Essential:
 i. MBBS/MPH with over 7 years of Public Health experience in the area of Maternal and Child Health
   ii. Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in the management of maternal or child health or nutrition programs at the state and national level
 iii. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of maternal and child health programs and policies in India
  iv. Demonstrated expertise in strategic program planning, implementation and technical assistance provision
    v. Demonstrated expertise in complex research designs

Preferred:
 i. Specialization in Obstetrics and gynecology (OBG) or Pediatrics

8. Regional Manager
Essential:
 i. Masters in Social Work / Social Science / Public Health with over 7 years of Public Health experience in the area of Maternal and Child Health
   ii. Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in implementing maternal or child health or nutrition programs at the State / Regional  level
 iii. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of maternal and child health programs and policies in India
  iv. Demonstrated experience of efficiently managing a large and diverse team

Preferred:
 i. Demonstrated experience in leading Public Health program at the State level

9. District Programme Manager
Essential:
 i. Masters in Social Work / Social Science / Public Health with over 5 years of Public Health experience in the area of Maternal and Child Health
   ii. Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience in implementing maternal or child health or nutrition programs at the District  level
 iii. Demonstrated experience of working with NGOs
  iv. Demonstrated experience of efficiently managing a large and diverse team
    v. Excellent knowledge of local language (Hindi)

Preferred:
 i. Demonstrated experience in leading Public Health program at the District level
ii.     Experience of working in close collaboration with Government functionaries in Rural and Urban Districts of Northern States in India

10. District Program Officer -Facilities
Essential:
 i. MBBS / Nurse / Paramedic / Hospital Administration Management with 5 years of experience of working in health facilities particularly in obstetric and neonatal care settings
   ii. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of maternal and child health programs in India

Preferred:
 i. Experience in training nursing staff in clinical setting
ii.     Training and experience in hospital administration / patient education
iii.   Familiarity with clinical and hospital records and procedures particularly in government systems

11. District Program Officer -Outreach
Essential:
 i. Graduate with at least 3 years of Public Health experience in the area of Maternal and Child Health
   ii. Responsible professional experience in implementing maternal or child health or nutrition programs at the District  level
 iii. Experience in closely working with government field programs
  iv. Experience in training teams of government workers
    v. Demonstrated experience of working with NGOs

Preferred:
 i. Masters in Social Work/Public Health/Social Science
ii. Demonstrated experience of working with the Health and ICDS Program in rural and urban regions of Northern States in India

12. Analyst
Essential:
 i. Masters Degree in Public Health / Statistics with experience in data handling, analysis and statistical interpretation
   ii. Over 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in Public Health program research
 iii. Expertise in SPSS / Stata / SAS / Epi Info
  iv. Demonstrated expertise in undertaking large data sets and complex research designs

Preferred:
   i.   Knowledge in advanced statistics

13. Senior Technical Associate
Essential:
 i. Masters in Social Work / Social Science / Public Health with over 3 years of Public Health experience in the area of Maternal and Child Health
   ii. Experience in implementing maternal or child health or nutrition programs at the District  level
 iii. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of maternal and child health programs and policies in India
  iv. Demonstrated expertise in complex research designs

Preferred:
   i.    Demonstrated experience in a similar profile for a large Public Health program at the State level for an International NGO

14. Program Associate
Essential:
 i. Masters in Social Work / Social Science / Public Health with over 3 years of Public Health experience in the area of Maternal and Child Health
   ii. Responsible professional experience in implementing maternal or child health or nutrition programs at the District  level
 iii. Demonstrated experience of working with NGOs
  iv. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of maternal and child health programs and policies in India
    v. Excellent command over written English
