1.    Engineer (D): One post [Unreserved]
Pay Band : (PB-3) Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay : Rs.6600/- ; TME : Rs.49,003/- ; HQ : Mumbai.

Qual. & Exp. : M.E./M.Tech.  OR   Ph.D.  in Electronics &  Instrumentation/ Electronics & Communication with two   years experience in relevant area :  job involving  experience  with  hi-fi audio/video equipment for recording, video conferencing/web-casting etc.  
Qual. & Exp. : B.E.  in Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics & Communication with eight years experience in  above mentioned relevant area.
Desirable : Leadership  of   a group  of  junior  workers ;   Experience   with   wi-fi  administration, web-hosting and user interfaces ; Familiarity with UNIX/Linux operating system.
Age : Below 35 years.

2.    Project Scientist: One Post [temporary for one year initially]
Consolidated Salary : Rs.30,000/- +  30% HRA ; HQ : Mumbai.
 Qualification. : Candidate with good academic record and Ph.D in experimental physics involving precision metrology and control with minimum 2 years post-doctoral experience.  Should have knowledge and expertise in instrumentation and measurements related to gravitational physics and should be able to set up and manage experiments independently. 
Exp. : Experience in ultra-high vacuum techniques, optics, laser metrology and stabilization, computer interfacing of experiments and programming in Labview are essential.  Experience in setting up optical interferometers and sensitive torsion balances as well as familiarity with physics and technical aspects of gravitational wave detectors are desirable.

Job Description : The Project Scientist is expected to take a leading role, along with the faculty member in-charge of the project, in the design, construction and operation of the high sensitivity interferometer detector to be constructed in TIFR, Mumbai.  The Project Scientist will also require to participate in research on next generation probes for gravitational physics based on atom interferometers and novel torsion balances.

3.    Scientific Assistant: Two Posts [Unreserved] temporary upto two years for ASTROSAT Project ;
Pay Band :       (PB- 2) Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay : Rs.4200/- ; TME : Rs.25,945/- ; HQ : Mumbai.
Qualification : Essential : i)  SSC/HSC and Diploma  in Electronics or equivalent with minimum 60% marks.  (ii) Knowledge of  testing Electronic circuits.
Desirable :  i) 2 years’ experience in relevant field after Diploma.  (ii) Knowledge of CAD design, PCB  wiring with SMD and Standard Components and harness making.

Job Description : To work on Astrosat Payloads,  candidates have to work at field stations of TIFR, DAE and ISRO for prolonged periods.

Age : Below 28 years.
