Indo-German project : “Molecular epidemiology of Group A Streptococcus in North India: Identification of region specific vaccine candidates”
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Life Science/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry.
Desirable Experience: Specialization in Medical Microbiology, handling of pathogens/ Genomics, DNA Microarray and vaccine candidate testing.
Note: There will be one visit to Germany, Helmholtz Center for Infection Research each year for 1-3 months or may be more depend on work load. For this purpose visiting scholar will be paid air travel+fellowship according to the rules set up by ICMR-BMBF Germany, a valid passport is essential for the same.
The project is valid for the period of 2 years with a possible extension for the third year. The selected candidate will be appointed on purely temporary basis initially for a period of one year or till his services are required by Project Director or till the validity of the project, whichever is earliest. Hostel facility will be provided to JRF as per the rules of JNU.
